here is a cool link that I found for calculating sock patterns. You put in the information and choose hand and machine knitting, hit a button and voila! You are knitting socks.

Disclaimers: I am not affiliated, I have not tried it out yet with real measurements or knit with the pattern. I am however thinking that the sock pattern on the knitting machine may be in order...... That may actually help me make up some of the sock yarns in the stash.
