Impatience is NOT a virtue!

Ask me how I know.

I frequently get impatient with my knitting. There is just too much yarn, too little time and way too many ideas for knitting up.

I frequently knit what others may call mindless knitting, which involves very little variation to the stitch pattern, lots of stockinette in the round or garter knit flat.

And no charts.

Not that I don't like charts. They just tend to run away, clenched in a child's hot little hand. I like charts fine, they just don't stay in a place where they are useful to me.

I also am struggling a bit with impatience on the job as well. As many of you know, I am a project manager, which involves managing the scope, resources and timeline of a project, in this case, software development projects. My two projects are underway now, the contracts signed more or less, and simply tracking the progress against the plan.

So I am a wee bit bored with it. Seems I need the excitement to keep me engaged, which is horrible as the excitement is extremely stressful, keeps me from my family and my yarn, and makes me gain weight.

Pammie, Batty and Bezzie: for the record, I tried the local fabric store, where everyone knows my name, and they had neither the dumaflotchies or a hook labelled "dumaflotchie" that would indicate that they were simply fresh out of said notion. I am on my own.

In search of dumaflotchie, as it were.

No dumaflotchies, huh? I'll have to check mine to see if they have them. If I can find them, I'll let you know.

Hm, yes, to the bra drawer indeed then. Darn.
