The Influenza Ward at Hospital Ceallach

Littlest came down ill on the way home from daycare yesterday morning. According to DH, there was projectile vomiting involved. I don't think he knows what PV looks like, because what I cleaned up was not near enough mess for PV.

Anyway, over the course of the afternoon, Littlest did vomit some more, but it was all over by about 4-5 pm. She did go to bed early and coughed a bit through the night, but overall she was a happy kid.

But during the course of the evening, all the animals had been diagnosed with various maladies suspiciously similar to Littlest's and were one by one laid out in the Flu ward at Hospital Ceallach. I took a picture so that you can see the extent of the flu epidemic striking the Ceallach Castle and the surrounding villages. You will notice that we have run out of beds and there being no other hospital for miles, had to double up on beds.....we did try to keep like animals together but that went out the window when the llama and the whale were admitted....

Note that the tiger is particularly struck down with vomiting, thus the little bed pan just left under his chin.

That's adorably wacky, especially the little bedpan for the tiger. The things that go through a child's mind...

Kids are just adorable sometimes, the games they play.

I hope she feels fine in the morning.

Yup, having your toys get sick when you're sick helps. My poor stuffed animals went through a lot when I went to get my tonsils removed, I can tell you! They got the same exams and ended up with various internal organs missing.

It's a great coping mechanism. Hope everyone is feeling better!
